What a great read it was Nate,

I’ve learnt that we are responsible for our lives. We have we to blame 😌

Thank you so much Ruth for allowing these words to take space, and for appreciating them. We are responsible for our own lives indeed. We may not deserve anything bad, but we owe it to ourselves to rise beyond it.

Indeed, as humans, we are special, because we get to choose what we do with your experiences.

This is an enlightening and important piece reminding us of the power we each carry to shape our lives by focusing on the things within our control.

Thank you for sharing this, Nate.

I’m glad it resonated. It’s so easy to blame circumstances, but the true power is when we adapt based on the things within our control.

Very cool! Sometimes we don’t realise how much we focus on ourselves and the things that happen to us we forget that we are still in control of how we react to things :))

Definitely, we have more control than we think - we just choose to put our attention on things beyond it 😅

Well written article

Just highlighting this part

I started focusing on what makes ME happy. I started building something of my own. Not because circumstances got easier. Because I stopped waiting for them to.

Thank you for liking it, and I’m glad something resonated. Hope you have a great weekend ahead!

You are right: The world isn’t out to get you, but it isn’t obligated to protect you either.

The same world that feeds you, inspires you, and supports your growth is also indifferent. It will take advantage if you let it, and it owes you nothing.

Awareness of that truth isn’t cynicism… it’s clarity. It reminds you to act, to choose, to protect your energy, and to build your own foundation instead of expecting the world to hand it to you.

It’s a valuable skill to be able to detach and look at your life from a third person’s perspective.
