Out on a limb here - so if you like Isekai anime, would you fancy reading isekai lit?

No, I'm not an author recommending my latest book.

Yes, I'd like to put you on to progressive fantasy and in particular Isekai LitRPG

Why - cos sharing is fun.

My recommendation - He Who Fights With Monsters by Shirtaloon (Travis Deverell)

Thanks for the recommendation! Definitely open to reading instead of watching.

Awesome well my usual recs (if HWFWM doesn’t do for you) are:

Beware of Chicken by CasualFarmer

Heretical Fishing by Haylock Jobson

Bog Standard Isekai by Miles English

Azarinth Healer by Rhaegar

So, hopefully, read and enjoy and welcome to the world of isekai progressive fantasy.

Very interesting article. Now I will probably watch "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime", as you got me very interested in the story. Isekai is a unique genre, that connects to people in very interesting ways.

Thank you! There’s a whole lot of them from the guilty pleasure to the more dark ones 😄

From Isekai I have seen: 1. Ascendance of a Bookworm 2. Chained Soldier 3. In Another World With My Smartphone 4. Loner Life in Another World. That's probably all.

Looks like more things for me to watch! Added the first 2 to my list. How did I miss this

Ascendance of a Bookworm is about a book lover who dies and wakes up in a world without any books. And she is doing her best to make some, using a lot of different historical methods. She may have lost her biggest passion, but she will never give up to regain it. Chained Soldier is little different then other Isekai, as main character didn't die, but starts living in a parallel world, where only women have superpowers, but he is given a way to contribute to the fight. It is a combination of action and erotic genre. I'm waiting for the season 2 to finish airing, so I can watch it all.

I for one believe in reincarnation, so I thoroughly enjoyed this. I like to believe that what we do in our current life makes a difference for our next life.
